Day42
The day that we leave our memorable Wuhan. and go back to our old singapore.Wake up early in the morning to tidy the room and stuff.then teacher help us weigh out luggage. my luggage overweight by 3kg.I don know my luggage got so heavy sio.i also didn't buy must thing luh.then we went down at about 9 or 10. then we bring thee luggage to put inside the bus, after about donno how many hours, we reach the airport and then we unload our luggage and went in the airport, the place is very hot.

went around the airport, and then we go into a restaurant, Mr Chua treat us eat fried rice, i think one plate about $19RMB. convert to sing. aboooout $4 ++. THANKS MR CHUA!!!!

we check in our luggage and then wwent on board the plane, the plane is very small.

reach Guang Zhou after awhile, went to take our luggage, then after awhile, we went to check in again, this time we goiing to leave china. we going to go back to singapore.

When we reach singapore, we took group photo and then went to buy liquior , wine, beer and perfumes. after that we go back home already!!
Singapore is so hot. i somehow miss the weather in WUHAN!!!

Day41
Planned to wake up at 6.30am but then due to some reason, we are unable to woke up on time, then many of us sleep until 7.30am. then Mr. bean at there keep nagging, say the bus confirm many people already and stuff. then we all wash up and then went to take bus there, we took 901 and then 608. reach there at 9 plus then we realize that we overshot one stop and then we are desperately finding a bus to go back, then we found one bus number 01 that can go to Huang He Lou. and it cost only one yuan. so bloody cheap. then we reach there at around 10. then the ATM shopping mall have not open yet. we went to a random shop to have our breakfast, i thought that the noodle is just peanut taste, but when i eat it , it is the taste of the spiciest chilli noodle that i have ever had. then after breakfast we went to the shop nearby to walk around, then many of them buy zippo lighter, then cool, actually i want to buy but then buy also no use, i never smoke then buy already also put in my house collect dust. so they bargain until each lighter minus $8RMB. then after that we went to ATM shopping centre. Marc damn pro in playing the lighter. we shop at there for until 1pm, walk around and around. then after that we go beefsteak restaurant to have our lunch, other than me, arvind and nicholas, all of them eat beef. because of religion me , arvind and nicholas cannot eat beef. then we eat chicken meal. after eating we take taxi back to school. we reach the main gate at about 3pm but nobody there so we went back to our dorm to put things, then we slack in the dorm until Mr Chua sms us say that they waiting downstair for 15mins already. then we wear SOE shirt and rush down to the entrance. took group photo and then went back to dorm to slack again, slack until 4.45 then we leave our dorm and walk to the foreign language building. We have some sort of closing ceremony and then we went to play with firework, damn shiok. the near range firework. first time. And also dangerous. after that went to have dinner at the fried rice there and went back dorm to slack.

Day40
Woke up early in the morning, because we planned to go Lu Xiang to buy Jeans, i want my skinny jeans. then we took bus to Lu Xiang and then went to find my jeans but cannot find then i called Benson and ask him where is the shop. then he tell me is around toilet area at first floor. then i went around searching, in the end never buy jeans from that store, bought it in other store. quite cool and nice. love it. after that we walk around for 10mins in Lu Xiang and went to Hu Quan, and because it is raining we got to spend our money on taxi again. haha. then we took cab to Hu quan then went there buy stuff, i went there to buy my cap again because my purple sub crew cab lost ler. then we went around to shop and stuff, buy some belt and then buy some clothes, some lanyard and went to have our meals at the fake KFC, after that we went to buy the big bag for putting all our stuff we bought from china in to that bag. the bag looks like old old china people who take it as luggage. after that we went back to dorm, slacking time!!! after awhile we complain that our stomach is grumbling and then we went down to buy fried rice to eat. we super professional, because we can eat while walking, then all the way we eat while walking until we reach mini-mart then we buy some stuff for supper. went to Mr ma dorm and have meeting there. after meeting went to slack and then sleep. 2 more days to singapore.

Free and easy day again. sleep late last night so we woke up at around afternoon nearly to evening alreaaaady. then we do our IS assignment and stuff, there is alot of incompleted stuff, like the individual report, group report and photo essay, i want to finish up fast and end it fast. there is still presentation, sian luh. went for our lunch and dinner at the KFC, we eat alot there, i think we ate the $64 RMB chicken set, there is 6 small crisy chicken and 5 big chicken. and then there is also corn and bread. quite full after eating all those thing. Cannot go anywhere cause the recreation centre is closed. then we went to walk around buy some stuff and then go back to dorm slack. and finish up IS.

My topic on photo essay is on buildings.
Photo essay is a photo with text describing the photo.

The first photo. This is the photo we took at the GuangDong airport, the design of the buildings is quite unique, it is like many airport have many different design. in singapore the airport there also have unique design. The whole airport is very packed with people, then there is also quite alot of tourist around there. but mostly is the local. More about the building, it is very nice and inside is very warm.

The first building that we saw after we arrived at the school, the building was quite big in size, but don't really look develop in anyway, just some typical old buildings, but quite cool. the colour quite retro, maybe they should repaint it to bright colours. the stairs infront of the buildings is also very old. the whole buildings is old and behind of the building there are lots of cracked area and they just typically use cement to ment it.

This is the building that we study at for our core module. it is quite old and raggy, it is like it will break down easily. the painting of the building is like dropping off alot. and then there is crack everywhere.

The inside of the school building, there is lots of flag hanging on top of the ground floor. then we observe that the china flag is hanged every 2 flag. example singapore flag, malaysia flag then china flag, indonesia flag, vietnam flag then china flag again. the ground floor have a table tennis table and a few tables and chairs. quite cool. then there is one stage at there. most of the people in this building understand simple english. because they study english here. then the building is very old because all the railing got rust and then the toilet here is all very smelly, no toilet paper, then the door is also very low, if i stand up almost half of my body can be seen.

Now coming to Lu Xiang. this is taken at Lu xiang, basement. there is lots of banner hanging there, the malls is quite big, or should i say very big, it is like more bigger than vivo city. but then the toilet here is hard to find, i don't know where to find toilet, there is lot of shop selling the same things. Lu Xiang is quite develop for a malls in Wuhan.

This building is a building outside Lu Xiang, it attract my attention because the overall appearance look like our singapore durian, esplanade. then there is some words in red colour in the middle of the building, it is cool. and nice also. i think when it is at night it should be very nice.

This is also some high rise building that i had seen in wuhan, quite cool. this is like so nice to see something farmilar. because singapore is filled with high rise building, when i see something that look like singapore, i might miss home.

This is some of the building that we saw it around the school zone, it is like very old building then the inside if the building is also very old with old furniture and stuff. it is available for people to stay in it, but i think no one is going stay inside for it is too scary. and there is two hut which is toilet, infront of these building.

These two hut are the toilet that are found in front of the building. outside of the hut look like some sort of mogolian house. inside of the hut is toilet and the toilet is very dirty and then the watere tap also spoilt. the door of the toilet is also very low. and then the window can be see to the inside of the toilet.

This is the yellow crane tower on fourth day of the trip. the tower is very tall, then the tower is very big, and many people were visiting the tower at that time. the people there include local and tourist. the yellow crane tower is the building that represent Wuhan.

The entrance of the yellow crane tower, there is ticket collector at there. the entrance look like those ancient shelter, it is quite cool to see such building as in singapore , you can only see such shelter on television.

The overview from the top of the yellow crane tower, we took these photo at the highest level of the tower. the view is magnificent and beautiful. the building there is all old old one. then there is only some high rise building at there. the wind there also very big and cold.

This place is at the dong hu, it have some archery range that let people to play at there, the shelter look like want to fall down one. then the range is very small.

The building of the museum, looks cool and big, it is very big and spacious. they have a typical kind of rooftop, but i think this building is consider quite grand already as compared to other buildings.

Day38
Woke up early in the morning, then bath and wash up, after that we leave the dorm and took a van to Hankou Bu Xing Jie. the place is filled with branded stuff, we have our lunch and the chicken rice place. then we walk down all the way and all we see is branded stuff, after that we anyhow walk, we go the alley, walk around and then saw vans and stuff, and then we walk all the way around, walk to a mall and then the malls is filled with things, we go look around and buy stuff, we bought quite alot of stuff at the malls there, then after that we leave the malls and go to other malls to walk around, i think overall we spend like more than $800RMB today, i haven buy a single shorts sio. cause i cannot find one that i like, maybe i going to look around again, and then i need to buy a luggage to put my things if not my bag will burst. went back by cab, which cost about $70RMB, and i lose my cap on the cab, damn sian, after that we went to gym for about 30mins, and then went to mini mart to buy noodle and cook noodle to eat for our dinner, after dinner then we went back to our room and rest.

woke up in the morning at around 9.30am and then i finish up my project and then do some touch up before going for the miniproject interview. the interview is at around 11.30am. then 3 of us went to the interview together, after that we went back to our dorm and we slack at dorm for awhile before we went to IT malls and buy stuff over there, we bagain alot, i bought one earpiece and one mp3 player, bought it for quite cheap, after that they buy razor mouse, damn alot. i think they buy about 11 razor mouse, damn cool lar. it cost more than $1000RMB. after that we took bus back to our dorm, and then we rest awhile. before going to eat and go sleep

woke up very late in the afternoon, i think we woke up at about 5 plus in the afternoon, and then we do some works and we downstair to have our dinner at the restaurant, we order quite alot of stuff to eat, and we finish all the stuff that we ordered. i think i am eating too much after i come china, because when i am in singapore i seldom eat two bowl of rice, but once i come china, i eat more than 2 bowl of rice, sometimes even 4 or 5 bowl of rice. after eating, we bring our clothes to the laundry to wash it, it cost about $40rmb, quite reasonable pricing, after that we went back to our dorm and then went up to have our meeting at Mr. ma dorm. slack until quite late before we eventually sleep.

Day35
Counting down. 7 more days to get back to Singapore. the weather here is almost the same as Singapore already, it is getting warmer and warmer. today all of us woke up late, we woke up at about 7.50am, then all go into the toilet brush teeth, four people in the toilet brush teeth, then all of us was late for the activities. we quickly finished up our washing up and then go to the place located at outside our school, about 100 to 300 m walk from the mini mart. when we reach there, we still need to wait for more people to come because our group der people some still not yet there. we sit down at the area there and then wait for about 20 mins then all of the people reach here and then they started with some games, the games quite childish, very lame. after the games, the other group of people from NP der come and join us for the game. then we go on to start the activties, we make a group and then create group name and group logo. after thinking of all the name and logo, we finally choose Afro because our group got 3 curly hair guy. haha. and then 2 of them is they went to perm their hair. so cool lar. then the logo is our group captain face, damn cool. then we sign on the flag and our flag is ready. oh and we think of a cheer, the cheer is very nice, think by a girl in the other group, but heard that it is either NPCC or NCC cheers. quite cool lar. after that we cheer then talk about our flag, our captain damn funny, because his chinese not very good but then he still use chinese to explain the flag thing, then we laugh until peng. after that we were given 32 pieces of newspaper. these newspaper are to make into a big wheel which must be able to restand all the group mate weight and then we are to stand inside the wheel and march forward just like the tank wheel. so we try lots of methods of making and finally, we finalise with making the wheel by poking holes and use newspaper to make the rope and tie two newspaper together, this is a very good idea, i forgot who think of this idea already, but its cool. Finally the times is up but we still not ready, we still haven combine the head and the tail together, and then we spend like 1 to 2 mins tie-ing together and then we take our wheel to the competition area and place it in the start line, starting of the race, we are leading because many of the group wheel break and then our wheel also break after walking a distance, then we repair quite long before we go on, in the end the other group got number 1 and we got number 2, i think is quite good already. Number 2 is also good!!.

Lunch time, at about 11.20am, we went to have our lunch. we all was discussing where to have our lunch at. then in the end the conclusion is we go separate ways, 3 of us go KFC while the others go restaurant to have lunch, then after finishing our kfc meals, we went back to the place and many of the people are sick, so they did not went for the afternoon activities. we went to have our first afternoon activities, first is the trusting game, one person stand on a stand which is 1.5m high then his hand and leg are tied together then free fall from the back and then on the ground there is a few group of people catching the person, which mean the person on top must have absolute trust with the person below, so it is called a trusting game. i didn'y landed properly, if i land properly, the sound should be very nice. Next station, we do is the high element station. what you have to do is to climp up to about 8m high then walk on the board and jump over another board, these two board have a gap of 1.2m in the middle. normally guys have to just stretch their legs and they would be able to go over. after that we got to get down not be climbing but by free fall-ing. damn shiok. i think i complete the whole station quite fast. Finally the last station, rock climbing is cool. but too bad i didn't get to the top, i only go about 4/5 of the whole thing. if i use my force i might be able to climb the thing. that is the end of the activities.

Today was remedial day for APPG. i didn't attend the class because i need sleep badly, heard that afternoon have one lesson but is not compulsory. so we also never go, we went out to have our meals at around school area, we are like eating the same things over and over again. i miss my mom cooking, because she always cook different things, and it taste so nice. at night we went to the fake KFC to eat dinner, they make the meal very long, we waited for more than 20mins. the place is also very empty and the next block is KTV, the singing is like so loud and not nice. they are not singing but screaming. after that went back dorm to chill until 6.30am in the morning, Marc chiong his appg theory test 2 while i chiong mini project.

Today was a slacking day, free and easy again, we sleep until very late then wake up, i think we woke up at around 5pm, i was very very tired. after that we went to have our dinner at the resturant. the food was rather nice and then after finishing our dinner at the restaurant, we went back to dorm to slack around, play games and stuff, after that they say ernest mom birthday, ask us to go up to eat cakes. this guy is rather cool, buy cake for mom, so cool lar. i seldom buy cake for my mom one, hope that next time i woulod buy one for her. haha.

Day32.
The day left is countable with our finger, some of us are grumbling why does the time past so fast while some is excited to go back to singapore to meet up with friends, eat local delicacy and stuff. today is a free and easy day, we sleep till quite late in the afternoon, then we wash up and went to Hu quan night market to shop around, it is the first time that we take bus to Hu quan, after reaching hu quan, we quickly went to the fake KFC and have our Lunch and breakfast. quite nice. after eating the fake kfc, we went around shopping, we walk together to buy bag, shoes and belt. we even bought some road side stall food, the food is quite nice, i like it. then after that we went to walk around the whole place, almost the whole place had been walked. then we walk further down to find something new, then we found there is a few shop selling branded stuff like porter bags, nike stuff and Vanz, but the Vanz shoes colour is not nice, so nicholas never buy. when heard that the shop sell vanz, nicholas will run all the way to the shop. because he is very desperatee to buy a vanz shoes. after finish combing the place, they buy burger and one lemon sprite to walk while we go further down, they suggest that we walk until tired then go roadside hired a cab back to our school, then we agreed and just do it. after that we on board th cab and he drive us back to our school, then we slack awhile before going to bed.

Went to appg for lesson in the morning, i am 1/4 awake only, damn tiring, yesterday did not sleep properly. My miniprojecct gone, was a bit depress, i went to Mr ma and tell him that my laptop crash, so i had to redo my project so he say until thursday then hand up. so i went back and help diyana with her project, then teacher go thru the paper and then after that he give us back our paper. got 84 marks but not very happy with it cause i donno why, maybe i can get higher marks. just not i am not hardworking enough. APPG chap 6 and 7 is so messy, i cannot even understand what the heck is it. only know that many people say chap 6 looks like compro, because got return value and stuff. got work hard for the coming theory test 2, it got to be like harder than theory test 1 by one or two times. got to work hard double times. we are having some activities on monday, i think is rock climbing and stuff. hope it will be a fun day. tomorrow is a free and easy day, donno where we wanted to go, hope that we can go somewhere fun, and buy stuff, haha, i haven buy enough stuff to go back. went to have our dinner at the restaurant. nice food!!

had IS lesson at 8am again by the same lecturer. very boring again. but this time i came prepared with my laptop. was half listening to the lecturer while doing my miniproject and playing game. haha. finally i completed summarizing all the slides. the slides were full of words la. the lecturer finally finished his 176slides if im not wrong. and then went to ate lunch at canteen 3. there was another IS lecture starts at 2pm at a different classroom. cant use laptop because there was no powerpoint. this time a new lecturer in a classroom where he speaks in a microphone. and we have to use headphones in the class. a new experience and we were like china students here listening to a lecturer. it was about marriage and i got bored and i feel asleep for awhile. most of us feel asleep too as his voice was like a lullaby. something bad happen to me at night. my laptop crashed. i finally finished my miniproject and it crashed. sad. cannot retrieve my miniproject and my friend arvind said my harddisk crashed and cannot be used anymore. now have to use my friend's laptop to do journal and redo my miniproject. frustrating to share laptop as they have their own things to do on their laptop and i feel bad for them. rather bad luck to have my laptop crashed when i have less than 2weeks to go.

today class starts at 8am due to IS lecture by a China lecturer here. 3hours plus. very boring lecturer and there was alot of slides. so i did the summary as i was feeling very bored. even though after splitting up the slides with my groupmates, i still have to do quite a number of slides. i really dont like summarising and at times im very tempted to copy paste but cannot. afternoon lesson at 2pm as usual. im 3/4 done on my miniproject. i have a few forms and alot of codes to do. for 10%, i shall work hard on my miniproject. have to add on enhancements as well for more marks. financial planning is hard. i had gotten stuck and i typed a code wrong and suddenly my whole thing cannot debug. vry frustrating but finally i solved the problem. frustrating at times. but shall be patient and complete this project.

had APPG as usual at 9am and 2pm in the afternoon. mr ma told us that chapeter seven is extra important and its going to come up for theory test 2. so i paid extra attention to whats hes teaching. im once again understood chapter seven but have little doubts. halfway through lab seven and then shall finish up on my miniproject. decided to do on Financial Planning. hope to get good grading on it. shall work hard on it even though its only 10%. going home soon in a few more weeks. cant wait.
we ate at kfc as usual. very routine dinner for us. there are very little places we can go for food that we enjoy. so kfc it is for now. the burger is nice and so is the sundae. so its alright although its rather expensive

woke up at early as we had to do clean up at the bbq pit area but i was told by wenhao that it was cancelled and class starts at 10am. so went back to sleep. then went to class and today we finished the whole of chapter six APPG. i find that its rather rushed but luckily i have an interest in programming so this stress that i have motivates me to do well, and surprisingly. i understand chapter six. halfway done through my lab six. should be able to complete it soon. tomorrow mr ma starting on chapter seven and its the end of APPG.

free and easy sunday. finally i woke up late for the first time. then my friends and all went to lu xiang plaza to accompany diyana buy her jansport bag which she has been grumbling all week. then walked around the place and peng hoe bought alot of things at COOLMAX. the prices were very reasonable because one bag he bought cost only 89yuan. then we went to eat at a sushi restaurant because we had vouchers from last time but then were told that the vouchers could only be used on weekdays. sad but we still decided to eat there. then i went to pick up my jeans at the laundry. put our stuff at dorm and then went to a bbq organised by the China students here. it started out as a surprised as we had to start a fire without firestarters but instead weeds and branches. a new and good experience which i can use the next time i go bbq if there are no firestarters. then i helped out to poke the food into satay sticks and we start barbequeing. most of us just sat around and talk with each other. i bbq-ed some of the food there and it was not bad. the bread with honey was surprisingly nice. then most of us who were stil hungry went to at a fishball restaurant opposite the bbq area. the food was surprisingly nice and the fishball was alright though it was as jelly as the previous time we ate at one of the restaurants here. then we went back to dorm for a good night sleep

Day 25
woke up slightly late than expected. rushed to meeting point which is infront of the school only to see that the bus has not even arrived. waited for the bus in the rain for around 30mins. i was freezing cold and only had my windbreaker to keep me warm. finally the bus came and we sat in the bus for around an hour and we reached Wuhan Beach Park at around hankou. due to heavy rain and a drastic drop of temperature, the tour guide told us to go to Jiang Han Bu Xing Jie. we ran in the rain and went to a fast food restaurant where they sell chicken rice surprisingly. i ate the chicken rice. it was alright. then we straight away went to buy an umbrella as it was still raining. we walked around and realised most of the shop sells branded things and they were rather expensive but nicholas bought two pair of jeans because hes rich. haha. then we slacked at starbucks and i bought cheesecake and signature hot chocolate. a refreshing feeling drinking a warm drink in the cold weather. we shopped around the mall and my friends and i bought ourselves playboy jackets. and we won ourselves a VERY small blue gem and a bottle of drinks. then we went to meet the others again. due to heavy rain and freezing temperature, we decided to go back to school. but some of us alighted halfway at around Yellow Crane tower and went shopping. i bought quite a lot of things such as shoes. then we ate at a fake KFC restaurant where they sell chicken but at cheaper prices and then cabbed back to school.

We woke up at around 8.30am, then we prepare all the things because today we are having an industrial visits. We took around 45 mins to 1 hour bus trip before we eventually reach the place, the place is called Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Company Limited. When we reach there, Mr chua say that we are not suppose to make noise or take photo when going in, except that we can take photo in the main hall. the main hall is quite spacious, it has lots of display and words. many thing describing the fiber things and the cable things. We was standing there listening to the people in charge there, his talking was quite okay, not very fast and he know a little bit of english, that is quite cool. he explain the fiber things to us and show us the thing on the display and tell us briefly about the process. after that the other group of people also came and listen to what the person-in-charge say, after awhile we walk into the place where we cannot take photo nor talk loudly. we watch a few video at there and then walk to another place watch video again. we also saw some people from outside the glass window doing the fiber things, we walk one round and went back to the main hall, upon reaching main hall, the guy talk more about the industrial stuff, about the cable and fibre things.

after that we went to take bus and go back to the school, after that, we had our lunch at the restaurant near our dorm, it taste quite okay. after that we went to have some dessert at KFC, we slack at there for awhile before we return to our dorm and rest, went to walk around buy things and stuff, after that we went back to class for our theory test. the classroom was full so some of us went up to have our test, the test was easy and yet difficult, many of the question i don know what to write then i anyhow write, then after the test we went back to our dorm and eat dinner.

Went to APPG as usual, we have a trial test in the afternoon lesson, for the morning lesson, we have our IS lesson, but teacher never teach anything, he let us do our IS stuff ourselves. i make use of the time to do assignment 1 because we are late for the submission. we do the assignment for the whole period and chiong the journal. teacher say want to check our journal, so many of us chiong until very fast, some of us even chiong 1 day 6 to 10 post. after the morning lesson. then we went to the restaurant nearby to have our lunch, we order quite alot, some have pork which some of us cannot eat. then after lunch we went back to classes. after lunch we went to lesson to have our trial test. we do almost the whole paper then after that Mr Ma. show us the answer, after that we went off to our dorm. we stay in our dorm and study for the whole night before we went to have dinner.

1. Learning Objectives
From the oversea immersion program, I hope that I can learn to be more independent to prepare myself for the coming national service. I also want to learn more about the country, I am very curious about their cultural, history and their Wu-Shu. I heard that china is the origin of all the Wu-Shu, so I am a bit curious about how they created the Wu-Shu. I am also very curious about their history because I am a fan of the three kingdom history, like how do the Liu Bei fight with Cao Cao, and stuff like this. I also want to know more how the countries work. Lastly, I want to eat the local delicacy and compare it with Singapore local delicacy. I know a bit of the country, I heard that the country is quite dirty and then the food there is a bit salty and oily. Other than that just some history of the three kingdoms and the Great Wall of China, and lastly some Wu-Shu history. My curiosity makes me want to learn more about that country, and I want to gain some cultural intelligence to be able to work in china in the future. I think my learning can aid me in my work, I can either become a tour guide or a businessmen negotiating business with people in china.

I think I will focus everything in the history and the food in china, wuhan. I am very interested in the student life here, I want to know how it works here and compare it with Singapore’s student life. I think there should be a big different. I think getting some working relationship is also very good, maybe next time I might need help from the people here. Maybe my working partner might be any of the china people here, nobody can predict the future, so we must plan it early.

3. Question Of Investigation
What is the three kingdom history all about? Why did Liu Bei die, why did Guan Yu die? and how did the fight began?.
What is the food normally found in Wuhan? I want to taste more food in the china, many said that china food is nice. I think that the food in china represents Chinese, so I must at least try it. I also want to gain more knowledge of the type of food here.
What is the type of races that china have? I heard that china have much different type of Chinese; there is many type of clan in china. They have different type of culture and different practice.

4. Development of global skills
The three global skills that I wanted to learn in my trip are learning business related skills in china, learn to listen to china Chinese and the last one is learn to stay independent.
Learning business related skills in china can help us know about the strategies to doing business and negotiate with people all around the world. China economy is thriving so I think that many people would go china to do business. Take the example that now the economy crisis does not affect china much, however they are still rising in their currency.
Learning to listen to China Chinese can aid us in doing business in china, because china economy is thriving, that why many people will be coming to china and do business. If we don’t learn china Chinese then we would lose out in negotiation, they might say too much and then you cannot catch it, then maybe that part might be the important part. Learning china Chinese can also impress the people in china, they will have good impression of you because you make an effort to learn china Chinese.
Finally, we have to learn to be independent rather then dependent on parents. When we are out of Singapore, we have to take care of ourselves and do all the house chores all by ourselves. Learning independent also allow us to go anywhere without letting out love ones to worry about. I think that learning independent is the most important global skill of all as without learning independent then we cannot go anywhere to learn any of the global skills.

5. Learning strategies
I can learn the stuff by looking around and walking around the place, I can also learn the stuff from the visiting of the historical places. I can also get information from the people there and then read the newspaper. There are a lot of information we can gathered from the school, like the library and lecturers.

Day22
Today was full days of APPG, woke up early in the morning and walk to the block and then the lesson was rather boring, we had to do practice for the coming theory test on friday. we do the practice for quite long, and then after we finish the whole paper and then Mr.Ma go through the paper. we went for lunch at the KFC, i order alot of things to eat. i am very full, after that then we went for the afternoon class, after the afternoon class, we all went back and then we decided to go Lu Xiang Kuang Chang. because me and arvind left with very little money, so i went around the bank check but in the end all the bank is closed. and then we use atm to determine which rate is higher. we went to Lu xiang walk around then we went to sushi shop to have sushi, the sushi is nice. we order alot, and buy some drinks cost at around $545. quite expensive for china but then convert to singapore money is quite ok. then we went to arcade to play awhile before we go back to our dorm to rest, it is so tiring. we won about more than 1000 tickets at a machine there. we went to sleep early.

Day21
Woke up early today, I blast my music until very loud to disturb my room mate sleep. Because he said he wants to wake up to study in the morning which he did not. After that when the times he wake up, then we go to class together, he is like studying the paper. After that we waited outside the classroom for the first batch people to finish their lab test, I was anxious to find out whether is it hard or not, then I look inside, my dorm mate signal me that it is easy. Then we went in to take our lab test, everybody question is different, after we finish our lab test, we went to Hu Quan night market, it is so crowded and smelly. We went there by taking a van that drive peoples around. When we reached there, we went to walk around and buy stuff, I bought a few necklaces and cap. After that I went to walk around, and then time is running out, we got to rush back to the van there, because there is a meeting at 9.30pm. Then we rush back and went back to our dorm, after that we went up for meeting.

Day20
morning was a heavy rain, we are like drenched before we even reach the block, we went back to dorm to take my windbreaker, because i am freezing and some more i am wearing slipper that why i am freezing, i feel as if my leg is going to be frozen. We run all the way to our block and then we are like 4 drenched man. and some more we are late for class, but Mr. Ma didn't scold us, we went back to our seat and then wipe our body dry. after that we eat some man tou. Went for class as per normal, the class was bored. Mr. Ma teach us about the summarize version of chapter 5 and 6. Chapter 5 was short but seem hard, because I was doing lab 5 for past 4 days, and it just cannot works. After that we went to have our lunch break before we went back and took our trial lab test, it is quite easy, only the last part is quite hard which I don’t really know how to do until my friend told me how to do. After that we went back to our dorm, didn’t really go anywhere. only me and nicholas was back in the dorm, the others was out to KFC and then stock up our food supply. they bought 36 eeggs. and some more stuff. So we stay at dorm studying, I was like teaching my friend some part they don’t know, it make me feels like I am a teacher. We study together until very late; I think is after 12am. I am sleeping lesser and lesser again; I want to sleep 10 hours. I am losing my sleep and losing my appetite.

Day19

Wake up at about 6.10am, I went to the toilet to wash up, and prepare to check out of the room. Arvind came to press bell at about 6.15am then we wake up, after that someone called our phone in the hotel and then after bath finish then we went to meet the others on the bus. When we go up the bus, the tour guide ask us whether we got leave anything behind or not, then Nicholas told the tour guide his wallet still in the drawer and the marc’s luggage still in the room. Then Mr. Chua teach us the real meaning of check out. It is very funny. After that we took the bus to the place we had dinner last night to have our breakfast at there. The breakfast in china is like very standard, buns, porridge, noodle, egg and some veggie. It is the same as the cruise. After eating, we went to take cable car, when queuing for the cable car, there is lots of commotion, there is one group of old people carry their son and throw inside the queue in the middle and then they say they long time ago already queue already but obviously is cut queue one. Because they are between our group and then we came in a group one. So we had learn that we must close every single gap between us. If not they will just cut in, and they quarrel very professional one. I took the cable car with the tour guide, and we chat a lot after that I climb up and then I went to find my group of friends and then we climb up and took photo. After taking photo we climb down and went to take cable car come down and then we took some photo there. we play the jumping photo. This means that we jump when the camera man going to snap photo, I accidentally hit Nicholas face during the photo taking session. After that we walk to the restaurant and had our lunch at there, the food there is inedible, I like eat a bit only then I went off already. Arvind cannot find his fork and spoon and then he use chop stick to eat, first time eating lunch with chopstick. We took bus back to our school; it takes about 6 hour before we reach the dorm. It is so tiring, the bus trips so long. All of us are very tired, thanks teachers for letting us to start class at 10am. Good night!!

Day18
Woke up at about 6.30am and then went to bath before packing up and go off to Wudang mountain, the journey was very long. The tour guide told us it is about 5 to 6 hours. My thought was can my butt take it, because 4 hour, my butt already want to die already. I sleep almost for the whole journey, and then we went to Wudang town to have our lunch at the restaurant. The lunch was not that good, the food is just ok ok only. After having our lunch we went to the bus and then we went to the bus terminal to take another bus to tour around Wu Dang Mountain, we stopped at three places and then took photo and then walk around. I think the place include Tai Zi Gong, Zi Xiao Gong and Nanyan Gong. We bought some stuff at Nanyuan Gong, the stuff we buy was the person who crave words on the rice grain. After that we rush down to take bus back to the bus terminal there, after that we went to the same restaurant to have our dinner at there. After our dinner, we went to the hotel to stay overnight, the hotel is very nice and then it is better than our dorm room, the room is big and then very comfortable. We went down stair and walk around there, went to buy drinks and then drink a bit and walk around, in the end didn’t buy anything. We went back to the hotel and then I went to sleep.

Day17

We had appg as usual, in the morning went to appg lesson, as usual boring lesson and then in the afternoon we went to have lunch break before going to our afternoon lesson, afternoon lesson was about mini project. Mr. Ma talk a bit about the mini project, we had to hand in the project topic on Monday, It is very stressful, and then it is individual, cannot discuss much. Now we had to think of a topic to do, I need to think of one very unique topic so nobody would be same as me. We went to Hu quan Night market. The place is very messy, and then there is rabbit in the cage, look like they do eat rabbit meat, because the place is cooking all kind of different animal, like porcupines. It is like so disgusting when you imagine the looks of killing an animal. We went to shop around, we spend quite a lot. I bought 4 T-shirt, 2 shorts, 2 caps, 1 pair of necklace, 1 bag and 2 wallets. The place is filled with good and cheap things, we would be going to the place again maybe one next Tuesday as requested by Diyana. When we come back, she flips all our stuff. I just received my result by sms, got three as but no use, cause GPA is still very low, 2.6 only, last semester was 3.5 and dropped by almost 1 point. Tomorrow we going to WuDang Mountain, it is very early, we need to wake up at about 6am.

Day16
Morning woke up at about 8am, we went to go for our usual lesson, APPG. It is very stressful, because the teacher teaches very fast, like one day one chapter. It is very hard to understand, we had to read through a lot of time before understand it. We done Lab 4 and then checked by Mr. Ma. I help out my friend in lab 4 and then went to run with Diyana. I jogged around the stadium for about 11 rounds, and then we run up the stairs near library, it is very hard as I am very exhausted. Went back to our dorm and then they said that they want to play basketball. Then I went down with them and play basketball, we were playing ABC, it is a shooting game. After that we waited for Benson, Jayden and Marc to join us to play 4 vs 4 match. The games were filled with fun, although there is like no one who cares about rule. All of us like anyhow play, and we are like laughing very loudly and happily. Best basketball game. After basketball games, we went back to have a bath before we had our noodle for the night. We go out for dinner tonight. Rest early and sleep early tonight.

Day15

Woke up rather late today, after that we went to class to have the china business strategies and etiquette lectures. The lectures were quite boring for us, because it is way too long for us to even absorb anything. The lecturer English is different from us, so I don’t really understand. The lecture end at about 11.30am, after that we went to have our lunch. we never eat anything for our lunch, I was very hungry but there was nothing to eat in our school. I don’t really like the food here. Class resumed at 1pm, we do all the business strategies summary, do all the way until 3pm. We go back to dorm rest awhile before going to the place where it sell all the electronic stuff, there are about more than 4 building that sell electronic stuff. The electronic stuff price is not very cheap, so I don’t really feel that it is affordable. After that we walk around the two buildings and then we have some buns for the snack. We walk around and then we went to have fast food, I went to eat spring chicken. The spring chicken is very special, it is in honey and then they give glove for us to eat. After eating spring chicken, we went to shop awhile, the stuff there is quite expensive and then we went to take cab to school. After reaching the school, then we went to our dorm to have some snack and then drink water. We waited for the time to pass and then 8.30pm then we went up stair to Mr. Ma room for meeting. The meeting was about what thing we observe during our trips. Mr. Chua say that we can cut price to half for the china brand. I think that the half price must also depends, if you buy a lot maybe they will discount.

Day14

Woke up early in the morning, about 6.30am in the morning, we prepare for the trips to the steel factory. We went to board the bus at 7.15am, we are like first time so early, because last time we are always late for the morning things. Take the bus and it takes more than 2 hour before it reached our destination. The road is very bumpy, we were jumping all the way, after that we reached the other Wuhan Ke Ji Da Xue and then a few of us change bus because the other bus got space, after that we took the bus, and then after like 1 hour plus then we reach the steel factory, before we go in the steel factory, we must wear helmet first, many of us was reluctant to wear the helmet cause it is very dirty and smelly. After that we still wear, we walk like 10 minutes in the steel factory, just see it burn and then roll into a roll of steel then we went off. We took the bus back to the Wu Xiang Plaza. The trips is about3 hours because many roads was jamming and some roads is repairing so the bus keep changing the way. We went to eat at pizza hut, it is the same pricing as the Singapore pizza hut, almost same. After eating, we went to take bus back to our school, in the bus we see a guy who spit at the floor, and we was like “EEEKKKK”, but that guy was considered quite polite as he step on his own spit and then we was like discussing about him all the way back to the dorm. After resting awhile, we went to have our class at 3pm, it is like so boring, the lesson is very boring. After that we went to our dorm and then rest and have dinner and then we went to stock up our food at the provision shop, bought about $70 worth of goods. The biscuit is quite nice for me, I like to eat the biscuit. After that I reached dorm, we eat a bit of the snack and then eat some fruit, the banana is very nice and yellow. After that we wash up and then went to sleep.

Day13
Morning wake up as per normal, we are always late in the morning, as usual. Walk up the slope is so tough for me, my body cannot take anymore hardship, this is the first time I had really hardship, in Singapore, and my parents take care of everything, so I don’t really have to care much. Went to APPG lesson as per normal, I finally understand better of the topic 3, it is actually quite simple, I think we just have to study more and do more. After lesson, we went to have our lunch and then went to have our lunch after that then we have our afternoon lesson. After the afternoon lesson, we went to our dorm to have a quick rest, after that we went down to have our social interaction program, it is so cool that the china people organize it for us. I am quite stunned to see such a good program, and the singing is also very nice. I like to listen to the girl listen, it is very nice, I would like to listen to it more, other than that the host is also very funny, I think the host is a funny person. After the interaction, we help to throw rubbish and arrange the tables and chairs in an orderly manner. Ngee ann people also did some performance, there is one group who dance and another group sing. It is very nice, I enjoy it. Thanks china people. I like to talk to the people there, they are so cute, when they ask about Singapore, they are like think that Singapore is very good. And from what they say, they say that Singapore is a clean country and say that our English is very good. I think it is because from young we learn.

Day12

After a long sleep, my leg was cramping in the morning, I can also hear a bit of the old fashion wake up call music. The music sounds so old fashion, I don’t know which dynasty the cruise is being built at. After that we go to have our breakfast before we eventually leave the cruise at about 7.30am, we return all our key before we leave the cruise. After the cruise, we rush all the way to the our bus, we board the bus and we took like more than 1 hour before we eventually reached Yi Chang, after that we still take the bus for like 4 hour more. The whole bus trips are about 5 hours if I am not wrong. We stop at a supermarket to buy some stuff back; I bought some tea leaves, some snacks and almond biscuit. After buying that we went to the toilet, it is far away from the supermarket, the toilet is also very dirty; the water is also out of order. The toilet is also mixed toilet, boys and girls are in the same toilet, and it is kind of weird for us to have such a toilet. Went onboard the bus and then after very long then we finally reached our hostel. From this china trips, I can learn that Singapore is really very small; from east side to west side is only less than 2 hours. But in Wuhan only, it is like don’t know how many times more bigger. After that we rest awhile before we went down to have our own group of sports. We went to have volleyball games, the process was so funny, we laugh a lots and then we are learning while playing, we got one national coach at there teach us. After that we went to play netball at the basketball court, the court is so big, make us run like mad. After playing until about 7 plus then we went back to our dorm to have our dinner before we went to have our meeting at Mr. Ma place.

Day11
In my room, I was unable to hear any music, that is why me and Nicholas woke up late in the morning. We brush teeth and wash up, the toilet water is very cold. We cannot even brush bath, there is no hot water. The toilet bowl there was also very shaky, it shake when you stand on it. After that we wake for awhile before going to eat for breakfast, breakfast was not good, because it is not nice, it nice so bland. The noodle is bland, the porridge is bland and even the man tou is bland too. The egg was very cold. After breakfast, we went to our room and slack there awhile, after slacking awhile. We went out to take another boat to the Shen Nong, it is about 1 hour plus trips, the mountain there is very nice, the river is very cool too. After that when we reach the place, we took the little wooden boat around Shen Nong Jia. The place is very nice, the water is very clear, and the feeling is nice. Suddenly I have a imagination that what would it be to stay here and then be the one raffling the boat. I think that kind of live is very good, nothing to worry about. We can also even build up our strength because the person needs to pull boat full of people, about 17 people. Which estimate about more than 500 kilograms. Those people pulling the boat should be having super big strength. After touring around Shen Nong Jia, we went to back to the boat and I sleep until we reach our previous cruise. We went in our room and sleep for awhile before we had our lunch, our lunch was at about 3pm, the lunch was not very nice, because many spicy dishes and fish is too boney, too many bones. After that we went back to our room, I thought we are not going anywhere but in the evening, we went to a temple, this temple is very big and it seems very welcoming us. Many people standing near the entrance to welcome us. I was cheated of $100, because the guy say that he and me got fate, and many crap, then he ask me to write down things on the paper and then suddenly he ask me to donate $99 RMB. Then I just donated it, I also don’t know why I donated it, it all happen so fast that I was too slow to react properly. After that we went to climb flight of stairs, damn long, I climb until my leg very pain. On top there is the three Kingdom story, after listening to all the story, we went back to our cruise after taking bus. After that we had dinner at very late, I think is about 9pm, I am totally hungry. After eating, we went back to our room to slack around and then sleep.

Day10

Woke up late today, yesterday I didn’t sleep well and enough. I was too tired, because when my dorm-mate wakes me up, I was reluctant to wake up. I woke up at about 7am, everything was in a rush, I went in to have a quick bath and prepare my stuff for the trips. After that we eat some bread and went down to the bus and get ready to go to the three gorges. The bus trips were very long, which it is about 4 hours to Yi Chang town and then 1 hour to the three gorges. At Yi Chang, we went to have our lunch at there, and it is in a mess, because all of the sudden two groups of NGEE ANN POLYTECHNIC people went to there to have lunch. So the people there are very confused and they also didn’t prepare it well. After that we went to eat and it have lots of dishes, we cannot finish all, some of the dishes are cold and spicy. I don’t take spicy well, so I didn’t eat any spicy dishes. After eating, we went back to the bus and reach the three gorges. After that we tour around the three gorges, the scenery was very nice, we took many photos and then I suddenly remember a proverb called “Picture speaks a thousand words”. The touring ends about 2 hour plus. After finishing the touring, we took group photos and then went to Yi Chang again to have our dinner, it was the same place as lunch, the dinner was not good, and I suspect they never cook the dishes as it is very cold, like just get out from freezer. After that we rush all the way from Yi Chang to the place where we were boarding the cruise, we are like running up the cruise, because we are late for the cruise, I think we were in the cruise at about 6.40pm. The room was quite small, smaller than our dorm room, it is only two bed and one small toilet, when I stretch I was able to hit the ceiling, it was really very short, I hit the ceiling twice when I was in the boat. We were called to go to the balcony to watch the boat rise up the dam, it is quite cool. The feeling very “shiok”, we went to slack around and play cards game. Slack until very late then we went to sleep.

The toilet is very weird, there is one guy doing business and then he never close the door. it is like so uncommon seen in singapore or never seen in singapore. and then there is one basket beside the toilet to throw the toilet paper which is use to wipe the shit.

This is the second place that we visited, we just look around then took some photo and listen to what the tour guide talk about the scenery, after that we went to buy a key chain at there at about 4 for $13. my friends say it is considered quite expensive.

Day09
Went to class very late, it is raining very heavily, I was shivering. We are all drenched in the rain, and the degree is like only 3 degree. We run to the classroom, all the way from our dorm. After that we reached the classroom, all of us was shivering, Wuhan weather is really unpredictable, because yesterday was quite sunny. After class, we went to have lunch, we are always having the same things over and over again, even thought there are many canteen here, but today we have something special. Wen hao ate the soup with one rice, Nicholas, Penghoe, arvind and Khoon Fong ate the Fried Rice and then me, Diyana and Yong Xin ate the bread look like roti prata. The so called “ Roti Prata” have one egg in the middle and the thing is make by flour and veggie. After eating, we went back to our dorm and slack awhile before going for the afternoon lesson. The afternoon lesson was very relax, because Mr. Ma suggested to Mr. Chua that he should dismiss us early, after an hour of lecture, we were dismissed. We went back to our dorm, and slack awhile, after that we went out to shop around. We bought stuff for our trip tomorrow, many of us bought bread and burger. After that, we go to eat for our dinner, I think we went to KFC and have our dinner again. We mass order the KFC, we order a lot, and then the person takes order until very confused. In the end we had one more extra meal, after that we went back to our dorm and slack until very late, we play counter strike awhile before going to bed. Before that we all plan properly that we wake up 6am and then pack everything in the morning, all of us was exhausted and went to bed.

Day08

Woke up in the morning, many people are sick, many of my roommate have flu. The weather changes too unexpectedly, a sudden change become sunny for awhile. Then after that cold again, this make many people sick. Wash up and get ready for class, many people woke up late because they watch soccer last night. I also never get enough sleep, I was very tired, and I ate medicine, which cause me to fall asleep easily. Class was very bored because everything is theory, very hard and I cannot concentrate. After class, we went to have our lunch break. All of us went back to our dorm because some of them need to do presentation preparation. Then after awhile, wen hao and me went to KFC to pack food back for them, some of us eat there, I ate the Chicken Burger, it is very nice, I quite like it among all the burger there, I ate many fries, the fries very nice but a bit salty, that all. We are like almost running late for the afternoon lesson. After the class, we went back to our dorm again, after that we went out to have our dinner. We went to the street to have dumpling, then after eating we went to shop around. After that we went to buy stuff and then went back to hostel, we went down stair to buy stuff again, we buy stuff for eating and then after that we went back and eat our snack while watch television show, I went to sleep at about 12am. I think that I sleeping later and later, I miss my Singapore life; I miss Singapore food and friends. Although it is fun in china, but Singapore is my comfortable. The school work is very light, so we are enjoying our life being a so called “Rich people”.

Day07

Woke up early in the morning, we went to have a sausage for our breakfast at canteen one. Went to classroom for APPG class, we listen to Mr.Chua class and then we do lab 1a, 1b and 1c. The harder one is 1b and 1c because we do not have Microsoft visual studio 2008, then we have to wait for Mr.chua to check out the downloaded version. After that we went to have our lunch break. We had our lunch at canteen one, I ate egg ramen with mushroom, the mushroom is very chewy, I like it, but wen hao say it is not nice. Different people have different taste, I think I going to try to adapt to china life, and china food. The spiciness of their food, hope I really can adapt to. After eating, we went to hostel and have a rest there. We played counterstrike during that time, and when it is 1.30pm, we prepared to go to have our afternoon lesson, APPG. After that APPG, I went to have a sleep, then we went to outside and eat dinner. The dumpling is quite nice, but it is quite hot. After eating, we went to buy water and volleyball. After that we try out volleyball. I went to bath and then went up to Mr.Ma room to have meeting, then he say Mr.Chua is too tired to have meeting with us, so we just mark attendance and go back to our room to rest early. Today have nothing much, but I think the module APPG is quite easy yet quite hard. Some part is easy, some part is hard. So I think we have to try harder to get our module passed. During our trips from and back to hostel, I think that the people there really know how to recognize Singapore people voice and face, because when we talk among ourselves in front of the salesgirls then the salesgirls ask us are we Singaporean. I am like how she know we from Singapore.

Day06
We went for the early class, 8am. Lecturers teach us about the Hubei and Wuhan history and culture. The lecturer is very beautiful, and her English is very good. I think her English is even better than mine. But I don’t know why I keep falling asleep, maybe I have no interest in china history, after that we went to have lunch break. We never eat anything for lunch, we went back to hostel to rest awhile before we go to IS class. The IS class was very boring, because we had to write summary on what the lecturer had just lecture about, I am completely “sucks” in English, so I had to ask wen hao for comment in my summarized part. After that we hand in the summary on Wuhan and summary on Hubei, then we went to hostel and rest, after resting, we went out to have our dinner. I told them that I want to try duck neck, because it is like if we never tried any local delicacy, then it is a waste coming to Wuhan. When I see all the duck stuff, I was shocked, even baby duck also have, and everything is in black. Then I bought one duck drumstick and one duck neck. Both also very spicy, my mouth is very numb, I can’t taste anything. After that we went to shopping, we bought some stuff back and then went to meeting. We went to the recreational centre to tour around. There is gym, basketball court, billet, table tennis and even dance hall. After touring finished, we went back to our hostel and play poker card. We talk a lot among ourselves then we play games awhile. Talk to our parents on skype. After that we went to sleep. The bed is like so hard, I cannot sleep properly. I really hope to go home and bring my bed come hostel and sleep.

Day05

We woke up at very late, because that day was a free and easy day. We went to Lu Xiang Kuang Chang. While we are at the bus stop, a man approached us and ask us whether we want to have a ride to Lu Xiang Kuang Chang. He offer that $4 each person, then we have had 8 person, so we just took cause is only $4 each person. I think that the person is very good in doing business, he know how to approach people to do business and not wait for people to approach him for a ride. He talk a lot on the his van, he told Nicholas that if we need rides back, then we can just called him to ask him to drive us back. When we reach that place, we walked around and shop. We went to eat macdonald after awhile, it is super full. After the lunch, we went to walk around and the girls want to make manicure so we just went around and shop. Then we saw there is a place that we can play pool, so we go pay deposit $100 and then we played awhile. After that we go find the girls and then they shop awhile and we called the guy to drive us back. The trips back is $5, the guy say because it is peak hour, that is why increase $1. We went to eat the famous fishball in Wuhan, it is very soft, and not chewy, it is like it melt after you put it in your mouth, it is quite nice. After that we went back and after bathing, we went up to Mr.Ma room for meeting. Sleep after we went back from the meeting.

we eat bought mac and went outside of the mac to eat as there is no more seat left. the place very dirty, but we just sit down there and eat mac. no much different, only that the ice-cream taste different. and then they don't have chili sause.

we went up to the fifth floor to play pool. the place looks grand from outside but inside is okok only. it is quite cool.

we went to buy coffee at the starbuck coffee, we sit outside and then wait for the van back to fetch us. we waited for about more than 20 minutes.

the fishball is quite famous in the wuhan province, we went to try some of this fishball, it is quite nice, but other dishes are either too hot and spicy or not my type. the famous fishball is very soft, it melts immediately after placing in my mouth. but some of us think is not nice because it is not the same as singapore which is chewy.

Another day at wuhan
Day04
Wake up early in the morning to prepare to go for the trips. The teachers reminded us many times not to be late for today trips. We was late, then we run onboard the bus. Everybody was waiting for us, and we quickly walked to a empty seat and settle down. I was very tired, so I decided to sleep on the bus, the tour guide was like keep talking and talking about the history of Wuhan and Hubei. Many of us was bored, and sleep after listening awhile. The bus trips was very long, about 1 hour or more then we reach the place. The first place we went was the Dong Hu of Wuhan. The place is very cold and beautiful, I didn’t wear thick jacket, so I am extremely cold. We took photo as we walk into the Dong Hu entrance. It is very big, I can see many people there walking around. The tour guide suggested to us that we should take the mini tour bus because it will allows us to go around Dong Hu fast and we can take photo at places that is popular. The driver also approach us and tell us is very cheap, it is about $20 RMB. After much consideration, we took the mini tour bus around Dong Hu. As we took the bus, we took many photo, we alight at certain places to take photo and break awhile. The wind is extremely cold and strong, it make me shivered. There are many status in Dong Hu and there is many tall tree in Dong Hu. The scenery there is so nice that you would not want to leave the place. After that we waited for all the people to come back from the trip and then we board the bus. After about 2 minutes of bus trips, we reached the museum, it is very big. We went in and listen to the tour guide talk about the history of the important artifact. Example is the Bronze sword, it shows that people in the past use sword to fight against each other, they use the metal they found to make into something sharp to be able to fight. After going around for one round, I was completely exhausted. My friends and I went to outside and buy things to eat, we bought some sausage and burger to eat. After very long, then we went onboard the bus, in the bus, there is a scene where two dragon-boaters was like trying to kill the flies, and they are scare of a flies, they even scream. It was very funny, we laugh until our teeth dropped. The bus drive along, and we also sleep along, ignoring what the tour guide is trying to say. We finally arrived at the Shouyi Garden Snack Street. The tour guide ask us to go and try out the snack at the street there, there is a lot of food. The place is also very packed. Many people just buy the snack and stand by the street and eat because the seat is very limited. The smell of the smelly tofu came by my nose, it is very smelly, which make me want to vomit, we quickly leave the place and went to the 3 status there to wait for the time to pass by and meet with the teachers. I noticed that some babies wear the clothes with a hole at the back of the butt. Wen hao guess that it is because easier to do business. I guess that because the butt need oxygen. We went up to the Huang He Lou. It is located at the snake hill and then it represents Wuhan City. It is first built in 223 by Sun Quan (182 - 252, King of Wu) as a watchtower for his army. During the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907), many popular poems were written in praise of the Yellow Crane Tower. During the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1644 - 1911) Dynasties alone the tower was destroyed seven times and rebuilt seven times. In 1884, it was completely destroyed in a fire and was not rebuilt until 1981. The appearance of the tower is the same regardless of the direction it is viewed from. The roof is covered by 100,000 yellow glazed tiles. With yellow upturned eaves, each floor seems to have been designed to resemble a yellow crane spreading its wings to fly. We walk up the Huang He Lou, it is very high up the hill and it has many floor, the top floor allows us to see far away, we can see nice scenery. Many people is visiting the place, even the local people is also visiting the place. After we get out of Huang He Lou, we went to buy Bin Tang Hu Lu. It is very nice and tasty. I like it very much, but we don’t know where to buy already. We went back to our hostel and then at night we went out to have dinner. The food we eat is very spicy, we ate two plate of chicken and one plate of veggie. I only eat the veggie because it is very spicy.

The 102 dorm mates. we took photo at the status at the Dong Hu. the lake is very big and long and then the scenery is also very nice. it is never been able to see in Singapore.

Day03
In the morning, we wash up and went for our first class of the week. The class was about Singapore culture, the first and the second groups present their presentation for the morning class. Their presentation was very boring, almost half the class fall asleep, because it is very long, which is about 70 plus slides. Their slides also include religion, culture, food and festivals. We went to the canteen one to have our lunch, because the canteen is nearer to our class. We order the egg ramen, it is better than the one we had eaten at canteen two. After eating our lunch, we went to the basketball court and play basketball for awhile. It is so tiring, my first time play until like don’t know what I playing. I also don’t know why, maybe is because the weather is too cold. After basketball then we went to our hostel to put our bags in our room before we go for class. The class was about IS topic, we choose our topic and went back to our hostel to rest. We do some research then hand up to Mr.Chua . We went out of the hostel to have our dinner, however I did not eat much, I just have an ice cream. 7 of us went to eat at KFC. The orange juice quite nice, after eating we went to the nearby malls to walk around, bought some stuff and went back to hostel. We wear our shorts and slippers when we are out there, then many people look at us. Its like center of attraction. I notice that many people look at us because maybe its too cold and they are shock to see that we are wearing shorts and slippers. I also notice that there are many beggars there looking for food in the dustbin by the street. We went back to our hostel and then we know that the toilet very smelly because the toilet bowl stuck. Later on during meeting, we will told that it is because the sewage pump in Chinese too small so it is very easily stuck. We are also told that the people do their business then they throw the paper that they wipe their butt into a bin beside the toilet bowl.
This is quite interesting to many people around the world. Maybe it is a practice that they do. A unique china’s practice.

Day 02

On the second day, we woke up early in the morning at 7am, as usual we brush our teeth, and bath. After we washed up, we went to Canteen 2 to eat our breakfast, the people there very “pro”. The guy see us in a group loitering around the cash card top up corner, then he came to Mr.Chua. He suggest to Mr.Chua that he help us pay first, later on then we pay him, he say each person pay $5 RMB. I think he know that we can’t eat much, that why he suggest that we pay $5 each, so he can earn more money. That why I say the people over there is very “pro” in doing business, and also there are very quick. I think that I eat only like less than $2 RMB. Because I took a cup of soya bean, and 2 buns, it cost like around $1.50 only. After we pay Mr.Chua, we went to walk around to look for glove to wear, because only I don’t have glove that why I want to wear a glove to protect my hand from freezing. We walked around the mini-mart there and didn’t find any guy’s glove, only girl’s glove. We then go find our teacher, he say meet at the staircase there. We went back to our hostel and went down to meet the teachers after awhile. The teachers together with a china teacher took us around for a tour around the school, we took photographs as we toured around. After that the china teacher brought us to the school of foreign language. We went in to the second level and we sited all the way behind to play computer. There is internet, it is like finally then we have internet. I used facebook and blog to contact my friend, I ask my friend help me contact my parents, to let them know I am safe here. We stay there for quite awhile about 30 to 45 minutes. After that we go back to our hostel nearby and assembled at the staircase there. The teachers ask us to go to the Wu Xiang Kuang Chang by ourselves, he give us the clue that it is nearby, just a few stop will reach. We went out and the road look like it is like zebra crossing but it is not zebra crossing, it is a traffic light junction. The traffic light is not located at the side but it is on the top. Then we see got people cross, we also follow them cross. We waited at the bus stop for bus, we don’t know what bus to take, as there is no bus directory at the bus stop. It is like so different from Singapore, Singapore have those kind of directory, I don’t know how the people there know what bus to take. Mr.Chua came and he told us is 901, then we took the bus to the place, it is not just a few stop, it is like 30 minutes then we can reach the place, the bus also very special. The driver is on the right side, then the collection of bus fare is a person on the bus who walk around collecting bus fare from all the passenger. I think that they should also adapt Singapore Ez-link card system, it will make the bus better. Finally, we reached the Wu Xiang Kuang Chang. We walked around the Wu Xiang Kuang Chang and it is very big, it is even more bigger than our vivo city shopping mall. The place had lots of things to buy, but it is more expensive than what I expect it to be. We went to eat at the macdonald, after eating, we walk around looking for phone card and public phone. After about 1 hour of searching, we still cannot find it, it is so hard to find it. I also notice that the malls don’t really have much washroom, like only a few washroom in the malls. After that, wen hao tried to use his phone to call Mr.Ma to inform him that we wanted to go back early to our hostel to rest. We took a bus and then we took the wrong bus because we reach the terminal already. Then, we took a taxi back to our school, it cost us about $20 for the trips back because the bus cost $2 and the taxi cost $18. $18 + $2 = $20. This return trip is so expensive. After that we went to our hostel and rest. We wash up and the teachers ask us to go up to level four for meeting. At around 8.25pm we went up to Mr.ma room for meeting, then after the briefing, we went back to our room and sleep.

This few photos depict the stadium in the School. The stadium is very big, it has many basketball court and one volleyball court, other than that, it has a running track. looking out of the stadium, you can see the Lake. it is very nice. There is also picture that show a ground with many holes, i think the school are planting more trees in the school, that why they are digging the hole. All the photos were taken during the time when we were touring around the school. The school was somehow nice and somehow not nice. It is like they also have different course different block, like engineering one block and foreign language one block. that is like our polytechnic.

These are the photos that we took at Lu Xiang Plaza. The place is very big, the arrangement is not as organize as singapore malls. The malls there like everything in a mess, and also the toilet cannot be found at every floor. The stuff is quite affordable, not really cheap nor expensive, what i like about that place is that it is very big and many things to walk around.

Day 01

On the first day, I arrived at the airport around 4.50am. I couldn’t sleep the night before because I was too excited and as a result I reached airport early. I waited at the airport for my friends and the teachers to come. When they reached airport, the teachers ask us to collect our passport and air ticket. We waited at the departure hall there, thus I waited for the time to reach. Later, we went to check in our luggage, took our passport and hand-carried bag to the entrance of the departure hall. We walked around in the airport to wait to onboard the plane. We went to the staff canteen to have our breakfast, and bid goodbye to my parents and friends. After that we walk a long way, before we eventually board the plane, the plane is quite small. It is like smaller by 2 or 3 times than the SIA, the space is also small, therefore when I sleep my elbow will hit the person next to me. The food there is not delicious, I only ate the noodle and the bread, and the 2 side dishes are cold and sour. After about 4 hours later, we reached Guangzhou airport, it is about 12 to 13 degrees. It is even colder than our Singapore air-conditioner, we then walk around Guangzhou airport, and went down to have a quick lunch, we ate dian sim. It is expensive and is even more expensive than Singapore dian sim. I ate a little bit and we went to board the plane, the plane is almost the same as the plane from we took from Singapore to Guangzhou. After about 1 hour 30 minutes, we reached the place. It is so cold, around 6 degree only. We then went to the arrival hall and waited for all the people to gather there. The person led us to the bus, the place is, ‘very cold, super cold’, as a result we can even blow smoke out. My friend all at there got bring glove, however I did not bring, I “emo”. We walked all the way to the bus which will bring us to the school. We put our luggage into the luggage door, and board the bus. The bus is filled with peoples and luggage because the store luggage place do not have enough space, that why the luggage is being place on the bus. We take about almost 1 hour 30 minutes to reach the school. The driver unload our luggage one by one. Mr.Chua and Mr.Ma brief us awhile and then let us go up to find our room, our room is big and look like a flat with 4 rooms, there is even television in the living room. My room is quite big, it has two bed, one table and wardrobe. Overall it is quite cosy and nice, I was freezing so I tried to on the heater to make myself warm. My roommate, Nicholas is also very cold, then we try all ways to on the heater but cannot. Therefore we borrow the controller from our neighbour, arvind and finally we can on it. After awhile I went down to collect my luggage and bring it up to my room. The first thing we do is that we on our laptop and tried to access the internet to contact our parents, but we cannot access into the internet, I also don’t know why. Then I suggest that we should just sleep early and tomorrow ask teacher what to do. We wash up and then we went to bed.
